A CLASSIC YEAR FOR DANCING DYNAMITE
Tuesday, May 27, 2014

Kim Lee, head of channel marketing, sponsorship & promotions of LIME shares a moment of glory with Classic Dancers, the 2014 Dancin' Dynamites as they show off their brand new Samsung Galaxy S5 devices.

UP Up Up! Oh what a night it was when Charles Chocolate Dancing Dynamite crowned its ninth winner at the Jamaica College Auditorium in Kingston recently. Making the finals from a pack of 40 contestants were Classic Dancers, Dustville Dancers, Fearless Skankaz, and Cameron Skankers.

From this pack, it turned out to be a "classic" year for Romaine Campbell, Orlando Mullings and Stephan Bryan as they were the big winners of the night. So big that they walked away with one million and $50,000 in cash courtesy of Dancing Dynamite, Charles Chocolate and Supligen. "All our hard work campaigning day and night, little and sometimes no sleep has pay off," were the sentiments expressed by Romaine in an interview with the teenAGE Observer. The group members also shared sentiments of gratitude for the opportunity given by the Dancing Dynamite brand and are all looking forward to studying at Edna Manley School of Dance. The 'champs' also won Samsung Galaxy S5, and one year supply of credit courtesy of LIME, 3 Samsung Tablets from BIGGA, a trip to Canada from Sharty B Records and 3 tickets from JetBlue airways.

Patrons were treated to three dynamic segments of great competition from all finalists. Arguably the queen of radio, show host and creator Jenny Jenny started things off with opening remarks. Resident judges Kerry-Ann Henry and Orville Hall came after in style and rocked JC's auditorium with tip toes, big steps and much intensity. Accompaniment by Edna Manley dancers and Dance Xpressionz added to a completely enjoyable set. Black Eagles followed with crazy steps.

'Segment 2' kick started with Cameron Skankers who showed Jamaica why they were worthy of being finalists. Another finalist, Dustville Dancers followed and showcased great skills mixed with natural talent that had patrons raving. The final segment for the night included Classic Dancers who had many hit points in their well choreographed routine.Crowd favourites Fearless Skankaz followed with much strength and coordination that was well appreciated by the hyped up audience. Concluding the segment was a dance-off between the four finalists. In the end, Dustville and Classic were the last two teams standing - but only one could win $20,000 cash and a trophy courtesy of Supligen, and that was Classic Dancers.

Other winners of the night included Cameron Skankers who placed second to Classic Dancers in the overall competition. They won $500,000 courtesy of Dancing Dynamite, Charles Chocolate and Burger King; scholarships from Excelsior Community College, BlackBerry smartphones and component sets from Devon Biscuits. Third went to Fearless Dancers who won $300,000, a supply of one year's credit from LIME, and a two-month supply from Devon biscuits. Dustville Dancers came in fourth and won $50,000 and baskets from Geddy's. All 40 groups received LIME phones.

Providing entertainment for the night was Voicemail, Chevaughn, Kalado and Demarco. Hats off to Jenny Jenny, Sponsors, live audience, judges and dancers for another successful year of competition.
