The Caribbean International Network (CIN) has been chosen as the official television channel for the West Indian Labour Day Parade. Thomas Bailey, the President of the West Indian American Day Carnival Association said, “CIN has long been a close friend of the parade and we welcome this year’s important contribution. Their channel provides valuable promotion for the parade and all the week’s events.”

The parade draws over 2 million revelers each year and is considered one of the largest parades in the entire USA. The day-long event celebrating West Indian history and culture unfolds on Brooklyn’s Eastern Parkway in an unmatched array of colorful costumes, enchanting dancers powerful bands, magnificent floats and food, food and more food.  Under the theme “Celebrate Our Caribbean Pride and Culture,” the biggest expression of Caribbean-ness in North America will mark the event’s 46th anniversary.

“Since our first broadcast twenty years ago we have supported the parade through our participation, programs and sponsorship. Those who line the parkway are our neighbors and viewers. We are one community,” said Stephen Hill CIN’s CEO.

The Caribbean International Network started in 1993 with a single “Oliver Live” half hour has become the trusted presenter of culture and information programs, linking those living abroad and with programmes from home.
